It’s recognition well-earned. We’re proud to share that Polymesh is recognized among the industry’s leading platforms in the Global Blockchain Business Council (GBBC)’s 101 Real-World Blockchain Use Cases Handbook

The handbook is a curated guide to the most impactful blockchain implementations from a variety of industries, organizations, and jurisdictions.

Polymesh’s inclusion cements the network’s reputation as a premier blockchain infrastructure purpose-built for institutional tokenization.

Powering regulatory-compliant RWA tokenization

The GBBC handbook highlights practical applications of blockchain technology across sectors, from agriculture, commodities, and entertainment to government, health care, and global finance. The resource serves as a valuable reference for government agencies, regulators, and central banks worldwide.

We’re thrilled to be featured as a key project powering regulatory-compliant real world asset (RWA) tokenization in this year’s edition.

Bridging the gap in tokenized assets

Polymesh’s feature as use case #52 explores how Polymesh is poised to overcome a critical industry challenge: less than 1/8th of the projected $16 trillion in tokenized assets by 2030 are onchain in 2025.

This gap exists because most blockchains — being multi-purpose — cannot meet regulatory requirements without forcing institutions to layer on multiple third-party tools, introducing operational complexity where blockchain is intended to simplify.

Polymesh changes this with purpose-built infrastructure offering native functionality for capital markets. Identity, compliance, and settlement are built into the protocol layer, reducing implementation complexity while increasing transparency, efficiency, and trust.

Momentum builds in a key market: Korea as an example of institutional tokenization

The GBBC handbook also covers Polymesh’s unique approach to partnerships, as exemplified by our partnership with BDACS, a licensed digital asset custodian in South Korea.

This collaboration — proposed as a technology model for Busan Digital Asset Nexus (BDAN) —  demonstrates how purpose-built infrastructure and trusted partners can deliver compliant solutions for the full lifecycle of tokenized assets, from issuance to custody and trading. Beyond South Korea, it’s a replicable model for regulated assets worldwide.

Galaxy, the global digital asset company behind GK8, recently entered into a landmark partnership with BDACS, further reinforcing BDACS’s strength to serve institutions. As a BDACS partner, Polymesh is directly aligned with this momentum. BDACS’s recent announcement of support for POLYX further signals institutional confidence in the network.

This narrative provides a blueprint that other jurisdictions can follow to bridge the gap between traditional finance and blockchain technology.

A global blueprint for institutional tokenization

Polymesh’s feature in the handbook positions the network beside other key players powering institutional tokenization, including Canton Network, the DTTC, Hedera, JP Morgan Chase, and the World Bank.

This recognition not only affirms Polymesh’s growing impact in institutional markets but also signals to the broader financial industry that purpose-built infrastructure is essential to evolving institutional tokenization. More than just a milestone, it’s a validation of our approach to solving real challenges for institutional tokenization.

All in all, the handbook is an important illustration of how blockchain can coexist with regulatory compliance while maintaining market integrity and investor protection. We’re delighted to share it and look forward to the conversations it sparks!
