The Polymesh Ledger app is now publicly available in the Ledger App store!

With the Polymesh Ledger App, the Polymesh community can now use their Ledger hardware wallet to store and manage POLYX tokens and interact with the Polymesh blockchain.

We’re excited to share that the Polymesh Ledger app has been publicly released in  the Ledger App store! Developer mode is no longer required.

The Polymesh Ledger app launched in developer mode in November 2021 and was developed by Zondax, a technological partner of Polymesh.

Ledger hardware wallets keep the private keys of users secured in “cold” storage (offline) for enhanced security. With the Polymesh Ledger App, the Polymesh community can now use their Ledger hardware wallet to store and manage POLYX tokens and interact with the Polymesh blockchain.

The integration with Ledger will help widen accessibility of Polymesh by providing users with alternate options for securing private keys, and is the first of many wallet integrations to come.

While similar to other offerings on Ledger, the Polymesh Ledger App supports over 150 transaction types, whereas average conventional apps only support 5 or 6. The Polymesh app provides support for most of Polymesh's pallets and functions, including batched calls and multiple runtimes support. For a complete list of supported pallets, take a look at the README.

Polymesh Ledger App for Nano X and S comes with 2 versions

Polymesh users can use the Ledger app to securely store their private keys on either their Ledger Nano X and S. Similar to Polkadot and Kusama’s Ledger Apps, the Polymesh Ledger App comes in two versions: Light for Nano S and XL with full support for Nano X.

The full (or XL) version has all the (advanced) features that the Polymesh Ledger App has to offer. This version takes up more space, hence is recommended for the Ledger Nano X.

As the Ledger Nano S has limited memory space, Zondax also created a Light version of the Ledger App. The light version offers a reduced set of functions that suit the needs for any normal user (send/receive, and stake). This version occupies less memory, and is therefore ideal for the Ledger Nano S.
