Network protocol token
The token inherent to the blockchain’s protocol. The network protocol token is distinct from other tokens, such as security tokens, that can be created “on top” of the blockchain. On Polymesh, the network protocol token is POLYX. POLYX is used for paying transaction fees as well as a whole range of other functions related to the network's operations, such as voting on governance proposals.
