Polymesh Glossary

A token intended to provide access to a blockchain-based infrastructure, designed for use within that ecosystem only. Unlike security tokens, utility tokens are not designed as investments. Rather, holders of these tokens gain value in the form of utility or benefit. Utility tokens usually act as an access point into the network; without them, you can’t access the platform or its corresponding products and services. Polymesh’s native protocol token POLYX is a utility token according to current guidance from the Swiss financial regulator FINMA.
